what happens when you take the K-pop training and development model and build a group for a global audience? twenty contestants from around the world went through training, missions, eliminations, and public voting, eventually leading a live finale and the formation of KATSEYE.
The Debut: Dream Academy
With live fan voting, three challenges across Los Angeles and Korea, eliminations, performances, and a global audience following along in real time, there wasn't much room for "that's not my job."
I did whatever the project needed, crewing up shoots, writing scripts, producing, picking up a camera, jumping into edits, and working alongside editors and stakeholders across time zones to keep things moving nearly 24/7.
It was messy, ambitious, exhausting, and one of the most fun things I've ever worked on.
